New York’s famous mainstream and swing jazz band were recorded at the Munich Klaviersommer, where they preformed to a packed house at the Philharmonie concert hall of the Gasteig-Kulturzentrum.
The distinguished line-up of musicians, all internationally-acclaimed solo players, comprised band leader George Wein (piano), Warren Vaché (cornet), Plas Johnson (saxophone and flute), Lew Tabackin (saxophone), Ed Johnes (bass), Oliver Jackson (drums) and Howard Alden (guitar).
