Born in the Dominican Republic and now living in New York City, Michel Camilo is a pianist with a brilliant technique and a composer whose unique style draws on South American influences. Since the mid-1980s he has been a star of the jazz scene, performing regularly in the USA, Caribbean, Japan and Europe.
