DANCE - CLOUD GATE DANCE THEATRE OF TAIWAN: MOON WATER

Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan: Moon Water

Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan: Moon Water

Moon Water

"Energy flows as water, while the spirit shines as the moon": this description of the ideal state for a Tai Chi practitioner was one of choreographer Lin Hwai-min's points of departure for this stunningly beautiful and poetic dance work exploring the correlation between essence and appearance, effort and effortlessness, man and woman. Water, mirrors, light and reflections add to the visual impact of the staging.

Solo cello music by Bach is played by Mischa Maisky on the soundtrack for this studio recording which features Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan..

Directed by Ross MacGibbon
